As I laze about in SL shopping and chilling with people I see more and more of the content theft signs in stores. Store owners, creators of items in SL are truly concerned about this matter! And I full agree that it must stop. Exactly where does someone come off stealing ideas and passing them off as their own? Even Minnu a famous model skin maker in SL has stopped production of skins for the time being because of it. People need to realize how much this effects everyone. Content theft is NO JOKE. To some people their SL store or business is their RL livelihood as well. You are screwing with peoples love for a game and their money as well. So I decided to write this small blog in response to those who steal creations from hard working SL members and try to sell them as their own. STOP doing this! You are not going to be looked at as anything but a liar and a theif. If you wish that kind of status in SL then your no better then the common greifer who bombs clubs and such. Put your foot down if you see content theft happening as well! If you see someone stealing ideas report them to the original creator and do the right thing. Below is a picture of Minnu’s protest sign against wearing stolen skins/items in SL. You can see these all over SL, this one sits at Nyte N Day clothing store near the skin section. Thanks all for listening and I hope SL gets rid of these theives once and for all.

Well, hello, guys, and welcome to the first post of the newest (at this date?) Second Life Fashion Blog!!!
My name’s Danica, and I’ve been taking modeling classes at Premiere Modeling Academy. It’s pretty much a school that was started by the January 2008 JCNY winner, Wyntir Jewell. She’s such a fantastic woman! I adore her. At any rate, I got lucky, and snagged the two very last spots for this course, for myself and Juniper! So far, we’ve both learned a lot, and we’ll definitely be applying what we learned to SL ASAP!!!
In the last class, we learned about quick-change. It comes in really handy when you want to change very fast into a different outfit, and it really helps you come up with some serious creative ideas on how to throw various outfits together to create your own “look”. Here’s an example!

This is one of the outfits I came up with!!! I think it’s pretty professional-like, yet sexy at the same time. I wanted to send out a message saying that even though I can be really sexy, I’m still powerful at the same time!
So, there you have it. It’s just one of the things I’ve learned thus far in Premiere Modeling! The classes are highly recommended for those who are serious about breaking out into the world of SL modeling. Wyntir makes sure to employ those who are who’s who in the fashion world, and offers her own advice to help us better our chances of breaking out. Sadly, this course is sold out, but she’s taking reservations! Just head on over to Premiere Modeling and check it out for more information!!!
